Busting a gut

It was a family affair at the Milton Lions Gut Buster Trail Ride yesterday, more than 320 motorbike riders of all ages and backgrounds attending the event, which spanned multiple tracks over farmland.

Pictured are the Wells family, (from left) Liam (8), Aiden (10) and Duncan.

Liam has been riding for two years but it was his first time on a public trail ride.

Aiden said he was having a good time, but he "got stuck in the mud ... I needed a bit of a push."

There was a young bikers section, which spanned 2km, and two more trails extending up to 50km over hilly, muddy terrain.

Milton Lions president Paul Black said the track event was non-competitive, and was a "fun way to raise money", which went back to the community.

The Milton scout group would be the main recipient from this year's fundraising efforts.
