King’s High School year 13 students brave the cold and take a dip at Dunedin’s St Clair’s Beach for their annual midwinter swim. Head prefect Seva Solomatenko, 17, said the tradition was something the boys had looked forward to taking part in during their entire time at King’s. He said it was a good way to stay connected with the school’s seaside community. "It was awesome. It was cold but it was enjoyable. It’s pretty scary when you’re getting in but when you’re in, you’re doing it."Seva said it was good to take part in the tradition as a year group. "Everybody is cold but you’re suffering together."
