Surf lifesavers will be out in force around Otago today collecting funds for National Jandal day.
The money raised by the appeal will go towards training and rescue equipment for Otago surf lifesaving clubs.
As part of the festivities, a toy inflatable rescue boat race will be held at the St Clair salt water pool, Dunedin, at 8.15am.
