A man was tasered and bit on the leg by a dog after throwing tent poles at officers and allegedly threatening to kill Dunedin property owners, police say.

Invercargill’s University of Otago College of Education campus is to be relocated under a statement of intent (SOI) signed by the university and the Southland Institute of Technology (SIT).

Police are on the trail of a handbag snatcher in Dunedin who swiped the bag from a woman’s car as she returned from the cinema.
