The burglary of a Bongo van and a vandal who smashed the windscreen of an upmarket four-wheel-drive were among the property crimes reported to Dunedin police over the weekend.
Sergeant Tony Ritchie, of Dunedin, said between Thursday and Friday the white Mazda Bongo van was burgled at a George St property.
The following night, a person threw a road cone at a 2018 Range Rover Sport in the yard of Armstrong Prestige with enough force to smash the windscreen, Sgt Ritchie said.
If caught, the vandal could be looking at a charge of intentional damage,
Yesterday evening, two burglars were arrested in Corstorphine, caught by police as they removed ''numerous items'' from a Sidey St address.
Earlier that same day, up in Oamaru, gas bottle were reported burgled from a garage in Balmoral St.
