Two men have been charged over a late-night Octagon assault that left two other men in hospital.
Police had been appealing for information about the February 13 assault, which took place about 3am near the Octagon taxi stand in central Dunedin.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said two men, aged 24 and 27, had been arrested over the assaults.
One victim suffered a broken jaw that required a three-hour surgery and a metal plate inserted, and the other had a broken nose.
The 24-year-old has been charged with injuring with intent to injure, and the 27-year-old has been charged with assault with intent to injure.
