Police are investigating how a cyclist came off their bike injuring themselves near the BP station in Princes St earlier today.
Police were called to the scene after reports a cyclist was hit about 9.10am.
But a police spokesman now says police are investigating how the cyclist came off the bike are are not sure if a motor-vehicle was involved in the incident.
A witness has told police there was no car in the area at the time of the incident.
A St John spokeswoman said the cyclist was transported to Dunedin Hospital with moderate injuries.
