DCHL announces raft of appointments

Dunedin City Holdings Ltd (DCHL) has announced new directors to the boards of Aurora Energy, Delta Utility Services, Dunedin Airport and City Forests.

In a statement last week, the Dunedin City Council-owned company announced the four new directors, who were all replacing outgoing directors on the respective boards.

Peter Carnahan had joined the board of Delta and would take over as chairman of the company when Brian Wood retired in October, it said.

Chris Hopkins had joined the board of Dunedin Airport, replacing Jonathan Cameron who resigned from the board in July.

Kate Bromfield had joined the board of City Forests.

She, along with Phil Melhopt, who joined the board earlier this year, would replace John Gallaher and Tim Mepham, who were both retiring in October, having completed full services on DCHL group companies, the statement said.

Scott Mason, an existing director on the City Forests board, would take over as the chairman, it said.

Janice Fredric had joined the board of Aurora, replacing Margaret Devlin, who resigned in June, it said.

The DCHL board had also reappointed several directors to subsidiary company boards this year: Steve Thompson had been reappointed the chairman of Aurora; Scott Mason had been reappointed to the board of City Forests; William Cockerill had been re-appointed the chairman of Dunedin Stadium Property; and Adam La Hood had been reappointed to the board of Dunedin Venues, the company said.
