Police were yesterday seeking a woman who crashed a ute into a power pole in Concord yesterday morning and then drove away.
Sergeant Keith Braithwaite, of Dunedin, said a witness saw a blue Nissan ute hit the pole in Mulford St about 7.40am, but did not see the number plate.
The driver was described as a woman in her 40s, of solid build, he said.
Police were appealing for information from anyone who saw the crash or had information about the driver. Aurora spokeswoman Karen Melville said the concrete power pole was being repaired. A Mulford St home lost power as a result of the crash, she said.
