Extraordinary meeting

An extraordinary non-public meeting of the Dunedin City Council was held last night to discuss the Citibus sale and the community pools upgrade.

After the meeting, chairman Cr Syd Brown said he could not further discuss the Citibus sale because it was still a non-public issue.

However, he said those at the meeting recommended City Treasury approve funding for heat pumps at the Mosgiel, St Clair Salt Water and Port Chalmers pools with a capital cost of $273,143.

Those at the meeting also resolved to accept an EECA grant of $170,000 plus GST which would go towards 38% of the cost of the upgrade
