Mann's exhibition ''Skein'' is showing at the gallery as part of this year's Dunedin Arts Festival.
The Dunedin-born, Dublin-based artist studied at Otago Polytechnic School of Art under Marilynn Webb and Barry Cleavin. He moved to Dublin in 1997.
Ms Byers said she had shown Mann's works over the last 14 years.
''Technically he's quite brilliant. He's a bit of a Dunedin success story.''
Skein describes the v-shaped formation of flocks of wild geese or swans in flight.
