Football officials obviously don't live on the hills. Mums and dads were somewhat amazed at the non cancellation of junior football last Saturday.
Parents were shaking their heads at the decision of Otago football officials to not only play sheduled games but in this case the game was transfered from Ellis Park where there was no snow to Brockville where there was lots of snow.
Roslyn Wakari 10th grade red played Dunedin Tech 10th grade at Brockville number 1 ground. Through snow rain and hail the game was played.
Talking to the players afterwards the overall comment was positive even though they were freezing.
Roslyn Wakari won 9-0.
