Money from mud

The Portobello School fundraiser saw children of all ages - together with some keen parents - squelching through a mud run, swishing down a water slide and tackling other obstacles, all for a good cause.

The annual event, in its third year, was organised by the Friends of Portobello School parents' committee, organiser Lyn Pope said.

This year's festivities attracted about 390 entries - nearly double last year's 220 entries - and raised about $2500 for the school, she said.
