The Dunedin City Council has lifted the boil water notice for Mosgiel as of this morning.
A spokeswoman said repeated testing of the Mosgiel bores' water supply over the weekend had shown no further irregularities.
The water was now considered safe for public consumption.
For Mosgiel residents that meant there was no longer any need to boil water before use, she said.
