Mosgiel subdivision granted consent

Resource consent has been granted for a  10-lot subdivision in eastern Mosgiel.

The new housing is planned at 267 Gladstone Rd North, next to the southwest end of  Wingatui racecourse.

At present there is a single house to the south of the triangular property, which would be retained under the submitted plans.

A garage and several sheds to the rear of the existing residence would be demolished and divided into  nine residential lots, with a further lot planned to form a road to allow access to the houses.

The retained house would have a footprint of 614sqm, and seven of the new lots would be between 400sqm and 402sqm.

One of the remaining two lots would be slightly larger at 448sqm, while the final irregularly shaped lot would cover 1670sqm.

The subdivision consent was judged to not require public notification, and was granted on September 24.

It is subject to  conditions, including three waters access, appropriate easements being in place and sufficient vehicle access being incorporated.
