Hundreds of people gathered at Tūhura Otago Museum today to celebrate the rise of Matariki and welcome the Māori New Year.
This special dawn ceremony celebrating Puaka and Matariki was held in partnership with Kāti Huirapa Rūnaka ki Puketeraki, Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou and the Dunedin City Council.
