Aaron Palmer, a licensed cadastral surveyor with Terramark, operates a drone to examine the Dunedin District Court building to assess the condition of the internal gutters on the roof as they are not visible from any accessible locations.

He said the drone was a cheaper alternative then having to use a scissor lift. The findings of the investigation should be revealed today.
