No injuries after car crash in central Dunedin

Two vehicles have collided at the intersection of Royal Tce and Corrie St today, reducing traffic to one lane.

No-one appeared to be injured in the crash about 3.30pm. Police were on scene and a tow truck was removing one of the vehicles about 4.15pm.

A witness said one car, a red Mercedes sports utility vehicle, was travelling down Royal Tce towards Heriot Row when it ran through the Corrie St intersection and collided with a black sedan travelling uphill.

''You can't blame that on the sun,'' another witness said.

Both vehicles had sustained significant damage.
