I hope all involved make a speedy and full recovery.
I don't know who is in charge of the diversions, but again heavy trucks were being diverted across the old single lane bridge at Henley, with a 5000kg gross weight limit. Truck & trailer units could be as much as 40 tons if fully loaded, 8 times over the limit. I did flag one truck driver down heading south before the bridge and warn him of the limit, but he carried on as soon as I left him. I guess the crumpets had to get through...
The patchwork of recent repairs to the bridge deck have already had to be re-fixed once after only a short couple of months of use. They won't be lasting long at this rate and council might have to do a decent repair job, third time around.
