Dunedin police are searching for the person believed responsible for torching a car in Pine Hill.
Officers were alerted to the blaze in Blundell St about 8.45pm yesterday.
"The fire is believed to be suspicious," Senior Sergeant Ben Butterfield said.
"The vehicle was towed for a forensic examination and that will take place today.
"We are interested in hearing from anybody who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious.''
