Halfway Bush School year 5 pupil Isla Srey, 10, and her peers show their artwork that will be displayed in an Otago Art Society gallery at the Dunedin Railway Station next month.

The pupils and principal Brian Filipo dropped the artwork off to the gallery on Tuesday.

The children were asked to create stories, poems, designs or visual artwork based on one of four subjects: the Otago Art Society turning 150, the Dunedin Railway Station, Dunedin’s changing shoreline or Olveston Historic Home.

The artwork will be on display from October 4 as part of the art society’s Ryman Healthcare Spring "Past, Present, Future" exhibition and linked into the Southern Heritage Trust festival.
