Vintage-bike enthusiasts pause on their way to Port Chalmers at the Leith Footbridge in Magnet St yesterday. The Vintage Bike Ride was organised by Gasworks museum board of trustees members Dr Peter Petchey and Ruth Barton. Dr Petchey (front) said the group had strong tailwinds along the new cycleway which made the 12km trip to Careys Bay Hotel relatively quick. He said the bike ride was the offseason version of the Tweed ride and a chance for the cyclists to meet up.
