A special Matariki haka from some primary school pupils brought tears to the eyes of a Dunedin rest-home’s residents yesterday.
"It’s just music and children; there is nothing like it," rest-home manager Robyn Bowie said.
New entrants from Musselburgh School dropped in to the Oxford Court rest-home in South Dunedin to perform kapa haka and sing some waiata for the residents.

"It’s lovely to see the young generation - at 5 years old - come in to sing and perform."
Residents were then treated to a special midwinter lunch.
