Dr John Hale
Otago Daily Times "WordWays’’ columnist John Hale has been named by the Milton Society of America as its honoured scholar for 2021.
Dr Hale (81) has written seven books on the English poet John Milton, three of them since he retired from the University of Otago department of English and linguistics in 2005.
He has been invited to speak at the society’s annual dinner in Dublin in April next year.
