Dunedin-born band Six60 is swapping its old Castle St haunt for the Dunedin Town Hall.

It was confirmed yesterday the band formed at 660 Castle St would return for a concert at the Town Hall on May 30.

The announcement came just over a week after it performed a backyard concert at the band members' former North Dunedin flat, marking the release of their second album on February 26.

The 30-minute show was marred when a man watching the gig fell from a roof, suffering moderate to serious injuries.

The Town Hall concert announced yesterday would be the last show on the band's five-stop New Zealand tour, with other performances in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.

Dunedin Venues Management Ltd chief executive Terry Davies was pleased to secure the band and predicted another full house at the Dunedin Town Hall.

''It's fantastic that more New Zealand music that is so well known internationally will play in Dunedin.''

Six60 has won six New Zealand Music Awards since the release of its self-titled debut album in 2011, and would be supported on its tour by electronic act Mt Eden and rapper Raiza Biza.

Tickets go on sale on March 16.
