Hundreds of Dunedin schoolchildren gathered at Tahuna Intermediate yesterday for the sixth annual Ukulele Kids' Jam, organised by Music Education Otago.

The two-day event concludes today, and is expected to draw more than 1000 children from 43 schools in the Dunedin area.

Highlanders rugby players Lima Sopoaga and Liam Coltman and White Ferns captain Suzie Bates were on hand to judge the ukulele design competition, as well as learn a few chords on the ukulele and perform with the children.
