Students helped police nab a burglar this morning.
Police were called to Ethel McMillan Pl in the student quarter following reports a person was trying to gain access through a window, just before 7am.
A police cordon was put in place with the assistance of Campus Watch staff, Senior Sergeant Craig Brown, of Dunedin said.
A 46-year-old male was arrested and charged with burglary.
He has been bailed to appear in the Dunedin District Court next month.
Snr Sgt Brown said residents should remember to lock doors and windows, even if they were at home.
