ODT Online reader Douglas Thorne sent in the image, saying he loves the simplicity of it, ''nicely balanced from blue to green''.
Douglas says he had been exploring the peninsula for a nice sunrise location and soon realised there were many opportunities.
The image was taken just off the Camp Rd track, near Larnach Castle.
