A van crashed into a traffic light in Mosgiel shortly before dawn this morning, leaving the pole at a 45 degree angle to the ground.
A police spokesman said the driver and sole occupant of the van was uninjured after the crash about 5.30am at the intersection of State Highway 87 and Gladstone Rd North.
The traffic light pole was reported to be at a 45 degree angle to the ground, the spokesman said.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand crew from Mosgiel also attended.
Otago Regional Council said the intersection was to be partially closed and a stop/go was put in place.
This may cause delays to the bus service, it said.
