Police have named the woman killed when two vehicles collided on State Highway 1 near Henley on Monday afternoon.
She was Esther Lynette Black (66), of Te Anau.
A Balclutha man (65) driving a northbound SUV sustained minor injuries in the head-on collision.
Senior Sergeant Darryl Lennane, of Mosgiel, said inquiries into the cause of the crash were continuing.
