Music in the air: school chamber groups compete

More than 40 chamber groups from 10 Otago secondary schools took part in the contest, which was won by Sunshine Daisies Butter Mellow, of Columba College, whose members were Laura Barton (violin), Natasha Kumar (clarinet) and Hoyoun Lee (piano).

The adjudicator was Graham McPhail, of Auckland.

The national finals will be held in the Auckland Town Hall concert chamber, in August.
