East Otago High School year 11 geography pupils have again won the Otago-Southland regional geography competition.
The pupils Isaac Williamson, Thomas Lindsay and Michael Lister will compete in the nationwide finals in Wellington later this year.
The team from James Hargest College in Invercargill was second and Craighead Diocesan School from Timaru was third.
Seventeen teams took part in the competition held in Dunedin last month, where they answered questions on geographic concepts which Thomas said were different from what they had expected.
Deputy principal Lennox Sharp said the school's year 11 geography pupils also won last year.
