Greenstone Energy, the company that owns and operates the Shell-branded service station network, has dropped the price of diesel by three cents a litre.
The cut takes the price of diesel to 163.9c a litre.
Greenstone spokesman Jonathan Hill said the decrease was due to an improved exchange rate.
