The body of a 56-year-old diver has been recovered from the sea off Pourerere Beach in central Hawke's Bay.
The Hastings man was reported missing after he disappeared during a snorkelling excursion with a friend at the beach yesterday afternoon.
His body was found this afternoon in the sea not far from shore.
A post mortem will be carried out tomorrow and the death has been referred to the coroner.
The man's name will be released when all family have been notified.
