A fire ripped through a Waihi home last night.
Fire services were called to the house on Crean Road about 8.15pm after a fire started in the chimney, Northern Fire Communications shift manager Nicole Bernard said.
Three fire trucks attended the blaze, which was "well involved" when fire services arrived.
No one was reported as injured, Ms Bernard said.
