Former Salvation Army captain denies indecent act charge

The former head of the Salvation Army's community ministries in Rotorua has pleaded not guilty to doing an indecent act in a public place.

Brian Noel Martin, 64, entered the plea in the Rotorua District Court today.

He was remanded on bail to reappear on March 25.

His bail conditions include a 9pm to 7am curfew.

His lawyer, Andy Schulze, indicated Martin was about to move out of Rotorua.

It's alleged Martin's offending happened in Amohia St on December 6.
