The company this afternoon announced Henry would host RadioLive's drive show, replacing Maggie Barry who left in December.
He will also be working on high-profile projects for TV3.
Henry has worked for the RadioLive show when the station launched in April 2005 and again in 2007.
"We are incredibly happy to have him back in the industry at RadioLive and we are excited about the contribution he will make to the team," MediaWorks spokeswoman Jana Rangooni said.
Henry said he couldn't wait to get back on air.
"I'm really looking forward to working with the talented team at RadioLive, as well as the exciting projects that lie ahead with television."
Henry resigned from Television New Zealand in October after being the subject of several hundred complaints over racist remarks he made about Governor General Sir Anand Satyanand and Delhi Chief minister Sheila Dikshit.
