A man is dead after the car he was in rolled at Matauri Bay, 24km north-east of Kaeo in Northland, early this afternoon.
Inspector Ian Brooker said the crash happened about 12.40pm and involved only one car.
The dead man was a passenger. The driver was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, Mr Brooker said.
Inquiries were continuing.
