Police have named the woman killed when she collided head-on with a truck in Marlborough on Saturday.
She was Judith Lee Chapman, 56, self-employed of Nelson.
She was killed instantly when her Honda Civic crossed the centre line into the path of an oncoming truck and trailer on State Highway 1 near Ward, 43km southeast of Blenheim, police said today.
The truck driver was not injured and police said their investigation was complete and no charges would be laid.
The same truck, although with a different driver, was involved in another fatal Marlborough crash in July last year, when at Spring Creek, 6km north of Blenheim, it collided with a light truck, killing the driver, Justin Wallace, 25, from Blenheim.
The truck's owner, Keith Church, of Broadway General Carriers, which contracted to Freight Lines, said the fatalities were a "grim coincidence".
