One person is dead after two serious vehicle crashes which are keeping Waikato police busy tonight.
A truck and a utility vehicle collided on State Highway 39 at Ngaruawahia about 5.45pm.
Two people were injured and one later died.
About the same time a two-car crash on SH26 between Morrinsville and Te Aroha left two people injured, one seriously.
The police serious crash unit is investigating both accidents.
