One person was killed and three others injured in a crash between a car and motorbike in the Far North this afternoon.
The crash happened on Inland Road, Lake Ohia, about 4.45pm, police said.
One person died at the scene and another was flown to hospital in a very serious condition.
Two others were also being taken to hospital by ambulance, police said.
While traffic was being managed by emergency staff at this crash, police advised motorists avoid travelling on Inland Road.
Meanwhile, three people were injured during a three-car crash on State Highway 1 at Mata, southeast of Whangarei, about 5pm, police said.
