Three Nelson College pupils appeared in court today following a kidnapping and assault on another pupil last Thursday.
Two 16-year-olds have been charged with kidnapping, and injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, while a 17-year-old has been charged with kidnapping after a 16 year-old pupil from the college was attacked on Thursday evening, police said.
The incident was initially reported to police as a complaint of assault and robbery.
The victim received extensive bruising to his head and body from punches and kicks received during the assault.
The victim and offenders are of the same nationality.
Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter but are keen to hear from anyone who has information in relation to the assault and kidnapping.
