Two fire vehicles were called to assist a person stuck 10m up in a broken cherry picker in South Otago this afternoon.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand shift manager Daryl Ball said the units responded to the incident in Ashley Downs, about 15km west of Balclutha, shortly after 5pm.
"Apparently the cherry picker had broken down."
No action was taken as the person had managed to get down before firefighters arrived.
