Woman sought in relation to advertising banner thefts

Police investigating the theft and damage of a Christchurch art fundraiser's advertising banners want to identify a woman who may be able to help with their inquiries.

A police spokesperson said the banners are believed to have been stolen on Sunday, October 5, from a site on Norwich Quay in Lyttelton.

The "wilful damage" of the banners was believed to have occurred on Sunday, October 12, in the same area.

"The woman is described to be a middle-aged brunette, driving a white Nissan Murano or Qashqai.
