Otago Boys’ walked away with a 34-29 victory in the game, which also counted as their first clash in the breakaway South Island Boys’ Schools competition.
In the other games, Timaru Boys’ beat King’s 41-24 and Christchurch Boys’ edged Southland Boys’ 28-22 on Saturday.
