Police are likely to pursue charges in the death of Kaikoura hot-rodder killed in a Queen's Birthday Weekend crash near Karitane.
Stuart Ernest Windle (64) died at the scene of the five-car crash on June 3 while heading south to take part in the Hurricane Rodders event.
Six others were injured and four hot rods headed for Dunedin were written off or damaged. A station wagon was also badly damaged in the collision.
A police spokeswoman confirmed this week charges had yet to be laid, "but it is likely charges will be laid''.
