Acting Sergeant Chris MacAulay, said police would be issuing tickets for speeds more than 4kmh over the posted limit.
Anyone caught travelling at between 5kmh and 10kmh over the speed limit would be fined $30 and receive 10 demerit points.
Drivers lose their licence if they collect more than 100 demerit points within two years.
