
Huffadine, who has a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture and a degree in archaeology, digs deep in search of art with stories to tell.
"I'm interested in work that crosses both sculpture and painting.
"My archaeology background has certainly influenced my work. With archaeology, you have a whole collection of incongruous remains or fragments that you can put together and work out how a people lived.
"I'm into putting apparently incongruous forms together and letting them tell their own story," she says.
"In this way, they come to symbolise both our inner and outer thoughts. I hope they have a sense of ambiguity and mystery."
"A Cache of Talismans" opens at 5.30pm tomorrow at Milford Gallery and runs till August 27.
