State Highway 85, the Pigroot, has reopened after flooding and a slip caused it to be closed from yesterday afternoon.
The highway was closed in both directions between Palmerston and Kyeburn from 4.23pm.
Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency advised shortly after 8am today that he road had reopened.
Motorists were urged to take caution in the area.
