WoolOn committee member Jane Avery said enthusiastic entrant Laurel Judd, of Hawke’s Bay, was downsizing to a retirement village and had decided to pass on some of her woollen creations.
Other WoolOn entrants had also joined in and some of the garments had found new homes, she said.
Tickets for this year’s biennial WoolOn event would go on sale on June 1, Mrs Avery said.
A grant awarded at last month’s Central Otago District Council meeting would be used for lighting and sound to transform the Alexandra Bowling Club for the August 29 show.
